Alpaca Post & Present by Shawn S. Barker
Edition of eight books. Using the illustrations of four other illustrators, I created the woodblock prints for the postcards. All other information was letterpressed using photopolymer plates created by hand as well. Designed, printed, and bound by Shawn. S. Barker, Esq. The process took me nearly two months from start to finish.
I have four copies for sale upon request. Contact me if interested.

Even though they aren’t as sweet as they look, alpacas have the biggest, prettiest doe eyes.

I went to my local yarn shop, The Needlepoint Joint, to buy a spindle today so I could start spinning some home-spun yarn. As I continued to talk to the lady about how I might get ahold of some alpaca roving, she told me that someone who lived only a few miles from me was actually giving away two whole cinnamon alpaca fleeces for free!
Tomorrow will be spent washing wool. :) I’m so happy right now. It feels like tomorrow is Christmas, only rather than a bag full of toys, Santa is carrying a couple of bags full of dirty animal hair!
